Nordic Ceramics since 1972

Welcome to Iso-Pahkala Ceramics – a family tradition since 1972. Iso-Pahkala Ceramics is a family-owned company based in Kalajoki, Finland. We specialize in creating beautiful and durable high-fired stoneware ceramics. Our collection includes functional everyday pottery, as well as unique and artistic pieces that bring a touch of celebration to everyday life.

Inspired by Nature and Pure Materials

The breathtaking nature of Kalajoki and Finland has been an endless source of inspiration for three generations of our family. You can find elements of the sea, wind-swept grasses, and the golden sands of Kalajoki reflected in the design and aesthetic of our products.

We take great pride in the purity of the raw materials we use. Our clay is crafted from minerals sourced from the earth, with kaolin and ball clay from England, and quartz and feldspar from Finland. We develop our own clay recipes and glazes, the result of years of dedicated research and innovation.

Our ceramics are fired at a high temperature of 1300°C in a gas-powered flame kiln, giving each piece its high-quality finish and unique character. All our stoneware ceramics are food-safe and perfect for use in ovens and microwaves, as well as being dishwasher and freezer-safe.
